when do you relocate ray pups ?

On Dec 2 my motoro had her first pups. All five are eating and doing well. It's early in the process however I would like to know at what size/age do other breeders move them on to their future homes?

I move mine the day they are born. I don't want an adult ray hurting them.

Would love pictures!! What kind of rays?

I move them as soon as I see them out. I put them in a plastic bowl so when I move them they don't touch the air.

There new home is a 50 gallon breeder tank filled with water from the mother's tank.

i like to hold on to them for about 6 to 8 weeks

I used to keep them 2 weeks but now and my last litter i hold them for atleast a month.

i had a friend who couldnt wait for his pups and he took them home the same night they were born.. they are now 14in marble motoros haha there doing great. but usually i will wait until they are eating chopped nightcrawlers

I wait until they are eating reliably. This is usually 12-18 days after birth.

i have found that leos are a little more fragile as pups. i used to sell my motoro pups after about 2 or 3 weeks. it seems my leo pups take about 4 weeks b4 i would sell them but i hold them a little longer to be safe
