Cleaning out my guys tanks and setups and preparing food, I came to the realization that I have 20 herps LOL. That might seem borderline hoarding to some, but I never really noticed I have that many since they are all in their own little clean well organized room. Thoughts on this.

Depends on the herp imho.

U can never have enough crocs :D

I say this for animals in general as I'm not a reptile keeper.
Animal hoarding is subjective. Some people can take care of more animals then others. Some people cannot handle one animal and one animal's care will be too much for them. If the animals are healthy , happy, well cared for it and their caretaker is not over-whelmed with their care, then I don't see a problem.

The other day I realized I have only 16 reptiles. Mmm.
Luckily I have some other critters to keep me occupied.
I applied for a job as aa animal keeper in a zoo. Fingers crossed.
Then I'll be realy happy!

I always say: Hi Im Ollie and Im an animal collector.

U can never have too many reptiles. Thats only a case of too few carers. :nilly:

HAH! 10 ball pythons, 12 aquatic turtles, 4 boas, 1 burmese python, 1 sulcata tortoise, 1 tegu, 1 russian tortoise, leopard gecko, Indian Uromastyx, American alligator, 2 milk snakes, 1 kingsnake, 2 treefrogs, 1 salamander...
And then there's my "normal pets.
Good thing I have volunteers.

I just looked and realized that I have two reptiles.. I need moar! A lot moar!

As long as you can take care of everything properly, keep it healthy and happy, it's not hoarding. That or a lot of us on here would be hoarders, haha.

Haha, Its funny because my Bud thinks I am for having so many but as I stated they are all in their own clean room, they are well fed, set-ups are clean, and none are sick, hardly what I call hoarding
