when is it a good time?

how do uknow when its a good time to breed ur betta's what signs do u look for and how should i go about it? right now i curently have a male half moon and a female half moon in seperate tanks. the male is in a 5 gallon with a bamboo shrimp and the female is by herself in a half gallon. were should i do it, and how? i know this isnt realy monster fish but hey im just starting out ill get there. but whould realy apreciate the help

the best way to breed them is to but to the male some things to nest under ... plants foam ... half cup and first of all u have to condition them with any live food or high protein food for a while ( week )

until u see a small white tube in the female like in this pic

then and after both be ready

male : build up a big bubble nest

female : ready with eggs

but the female to the male ... and watch them breeding and so until the male gets all the eggs from the female and start chase here away then take the female out and back to here tank .. start feeding here very well

and leave the male with the eggs until they hatch ( in few days may be 2 or 3 according to the temp. )

and after they became free swimming get the male up ,

start feeding brine shrimp .. or baby food ( what ever )

and cover the tank up as to keep the humidity as long as they are small to develop the respiratory system without troubles

do u think i can keep the female and the male together in the same tank even though they are not breeding but to live together

if and only if there is a lot of plants and hiding places so that the female will hide from the male .. then YES
