When should i start worrying ?

i got a redline SH like most of u probally knows here. its eating ALOT and growing fast . im just thinking when should i start worrying about putting my hand in hes zone? atm im doing it all the time but hes so scared when i do it so i dont see any problem in it even tho im pretty sure he could give a bad hurt. anyone more experieniced in this who could help me? thanks:headbang2
 
my giant bite my finger when it about 12 inch. but lucky nothg bad happen and i only got minor injured. since that, i never hand feed my sh. lol

they'll stalk or bite usually ..

even the other smaller species of Channa i've kept before does that .
 
Dude i just dont want my finger biten off when im having my hand in the avkarium ? is that so hard to realise, got nothing to do about beeing a a "Little girl" whats beeing a girl about that u dick head . i keep it beacsue i want too stop acting like a idiot and dont reply if u dont have anything decent to say.
 
Its a fish not a freaking cougar. Be smart, use your head and you will be fine. Geez, youd think you are keeping mutated sharks with lazer beams on their heads!
 
lol not really . just wonder if they like ever freak out and gets a spastic move and jumps to bite my finger XD . was drunk when i made the post prolly thats why its abit weird.
 
you will know when the time comes , as it gets more and more comfortable in the tank it will start to strike whatever hit the water surface , at that point make sure you put somthing in the tank before your hand , anything over 12" is going to give you a small cut , anything over 1ft is going to hurt , anything over 3ft and your off to hospital for stitches , as he gets bigger and more aggresive just put a peice of perspex in the tank before you shove your hand in there and work behind it , its rare that they bite you but you should treat with caution as they get bigger

ive seen him swallow zebra ciklids easy wonder when i can feed him bigger feeders ! hes also stealing the TSNs food just today i tried to feedt he tsn which is usally very slow going when it comes to feeding always have to shuffle down some extra just to get him a bite it ended up wih the red SH stealing tsns food from hes mouth! tsn got freaked when the SH approached and dropped hes food pretty much.
