So my lfs gets a shipment in Tmmwr and I want some of the fish off that shipment. Should I pick them up Tmmwr or should I wait a few days? Is it less stress on them or more stress t o let them acclimate to the store tank then my tank?

Yeah If there is something you want for sure I would take it straight home. Its better to acclimate to your tank then to let the fish store do it then turn around a few hours later and acclimate again to your tanks.

So many of us think alike lol.Jump on it!

I take them home right when the LFS gets them in and start the medication process soon after.

Medication? I wouldn't recommend medication as a prophylactic some times the cure could be worse. Or was this meant to be facetious?

A quarantine tank would be a better bet. Then medicate if needed.

When I used to special order fish I would wait at the lfs until they arrived let them open the bag to make sure you are getting what you ordered and then take them home.. do not let them go through a double acclimation.

I went to the lfs to see if their shipment of African Peacock cichlids came in so after waiting and talking to a associate the fish shipment came in from Florida I immediately purchased them and went home. Like stated if I came back later that would be stress after stress ×3. Fish are doing fine made sure I did not use any of the shipping water from the bags water smelled horrible.
