Hi currently my dhelzi is about 6-7" and can just about take a prawn ( the frozen ones from tesco) my ornate is about 3"-3.5" do you think he will be ok to go in the tank now ?

I have a 3.5 inch sen with my 7 inch sen and 6.5 inch del, the del ignores it completely but the bigger sen snaps at it occasionally when food is around. It is not trying to eat it and there has been no damage, but she's a bit grumpy. I would wait until 4 inches to be safe, but it will most likely be okay.
As long as the del is 6" like you said, it should be fine. Now this is true for not being eaten, you may have agression problems involving torn/split fins, missing nostrils etc, but that is due to the del/ornate being territorial or food agressive and not due to one being hungry.
Well just put them together and within minutes the little ornate was nudging the big delhezi in the face and the dhelzi just put his head on top of the little guy and he swam off so I think they should be ok.
Will keep them well fed and all should be ok fingers crossed.

lol they are great together dhelzi never swam round much but they are both swimming together all round the tank now :O) bit nerve wrecking at first as little and large but they seem to be enjoying each others company
