When to put Bullfrogs out?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I would think that if you have brought them then they are in at least room temperature surroundings so you may have to leave them inside untill it gets warm, maybe late April.

Unless you can restart the hibernation process.

yeah but hibernation's big deal, it takes alot of preparation, probly not the healthiest thing to do, keep him in until you see other bullfrogs jumping around, and if you don't live in an area like that then just waait till its guaranteed hot outside and no random snowstorms lol.

Yeah I thought that was a long shot at this point.I dont know much about the process but I read a little as it relates to native turtles.

Early frogs should be out now (wood frogs, spring peeper, other treefrogs, probably toads soon too) but bullies tend to come out later. I wouldn't put them out until the local bulls are out.

:iagree:

Honestly, I never see bullfrogs anymore, unless I take a long walk around the lakes in my local nature park, where no on else has been for a while to scare them off, mine were raised by me because there aren't many bullies left from the poor stray cats preying on them.
Which is why I asked a good temp that they could survive at night.
