Fry are beginning to free swim around the bottom of the tank tonight but still all bunched up together for the most part still not full detached from their yolk sacks. When's a good time to remove the fry from the tank and parents? There's some good natural algae they can feed off in the tank. I have a small little diy hatchery to put them in and then they will be moved to a 10 gallon once they put on a little size. Should I wait a few more days or should I start removing about a quarter of the fry every few days or wait until they're fully detached from their yolk sacks. They were born about 5 days ago.

I usually wait until the yolk sack is gone and they are free swimming. I normally only syphon about half the fry and leave some with the parents.Half a brood normally gives me more than enough to raise and leaves the parent fish with a few to carry on caring for.
