About 2 weeks ago I bought 8 BGJD and 3 EBJD's and have them growing in a well filtered 55 tank. The EBJD are about 3/4 to 1" long. The BGJD are not as big closer to 3/4. They all have plenty of space right now to grow. Just wondering what size they should were I'll have to separate the blues from the BG's. Here is a link to my setup and project. Thanks for the input. http://etnac.com/jack.htm

If you're planning to breed more EBJDs, then the optimal would be to have a BGJD x EBJD pair, which will produce a lot more EBJD fry than a BGJD x BGJD pair. In which case you should leave them together until a BGJD x EBJD pair forms, then separate said pair.

If your goal is to provide optimal conditions for growth for your fish, then split them up as soon as possible.

Either way, you'll have to sell some of your JD eventually.
