I know that plecos can get territorial at larger size but if they are small and grow up together they should be ok. The question I have is should i mix them when they are small so they know each other presence or should I wait til it grows to certain size?? Im just mixing pseudacanthicus family. Right now I keep each species in its own 10" breeder net to pump them up but I am just considering just to let them loose since I want to make it a community tank. They are about 2-3" and in a grow out tank 55 gallon with two good size Malaysian driftwood with river rocks.

I would let them out as long as their is at least 1 good hiding spot for each of them. The longer you wait the more damage they will do to each other determining their pecking order. They'll also grow faster with less stress out of the confined spaces.

+1. I have 2" to 12" Pseuda's in my tank with minimum to no aggression, just as long as there's enough hiding places for all.

Thanks for the heads up guy. I let my Scarlet out, hopefully with the driftwood and rocks there will be enough room and no torn fins.

You can mix them now....just provide good hiding places for them

Yeah, i let them out and they are fine. I tried mixing in a goldy in there and they seem to be sworn enemies. Always at it so got the goldy out.
