Hey Guys,

Just wanted to know when should I start separating my flowerhorn fry? Honestly, there is already one dominant one with the most vibrant colors and pearls. I just wanted to know if and when I should separate him. Thanks in advance.

It's really up to u its Ur call as long as the parents not trying to eat them its your call...

they're not with their parents, they're actually juveniles. I just heard if you're raising a couple flowerhorns together, then the more dominant one will always be the best and the other ones won't grow to their potential. But thanks man

after you take out that dominant one, another one will shine and be dominant. Separate as soon as you can I guess. If you have the space. If not just leave them that way. Because another one gonna become dominant anyway. Best to take out your favorite one or take out the ones more dominant and let him be the most dominant.

over stocked juvie tanks doesn't typically result in any deaths. the aggression gets dispersed with so many. You'll still get dominant fh's while in tank. The dominants will grow much faster than the rest. If you have a pretty large tank, you shouldn't have to do much separating until their about 2 inches, or even bigger.

Yea when u have a couple mean fh chasing other, it stress them out, so they cant get full colors n head n all, I use hate to divide my fh, but once I did the pearls, kok n colors came out
I divided mine with glass dividers
