When to Turn off Light

Hello Everyone my pink Convicts just breed for there first time with me. And i have left the light on for the first 4 days for the hatchlings. shoud i turn it off now or leave it on. When is a good time to turn off the light or how long should you leave it on for thank you

y did u leave it on for 4 days straight on the 1st place...? not thats its bad except the algea growths..

hello everyone because i have read with betta's that you should for one or 2 days because they need to see for feeding. And it worked well they have grown incredibaly fast next time i will do it for 2 days and to be honest no lie there have been no deaths to my notice one deformed that should die but it wont. Its quite something else.

I think that lights should be 12 on 12 off as most tropical fish come from the equater area and their light cycle does not change it is 12/12 year round.

id have about 8 hours a of ligth a day, for minimal algae, and for my knifefish that likes the DARK. but thats just me
