If they're kept with nothing else, and the tank is well filtered, at what point does a pair of Tiger Oscars need to be moved out of a 75 gallon tank into something larger? I know that bigger is always better, but at what size of fish is a 75 gallon tank actually detrimental or harmful to the fish?

If well filtered and frequent water changes they will be fine till they get over 12".

They need to be moved when nitrates climb higher than 20 during the week before your water change. Or when you get sick of changing water every other day to keep the nitrates below twenty. You won't have to worry about them growing long enough to look too big, their waste production will max out the tank long before then.

I moved this over to the forum, sorry about the wrong location.
Knifegill - thanks, that's a very logical and helpful answer. Often people just say "that's WAY to small of a tank", but there's no why in their answer. If they have room to swim, move, turn around easily etc. why is something too small. Your answer is the "why" that tank can be considered too small. I really appreciate it.
