I have a 3+" BGK. His tail is pure white, but every video i see they have a black tail with 2 white bands and the online info I rid says they have to 2 white bands on a black tail. Are they born with a white tail and it goes away? If so around what size does this happen?

Sometimes they don't. 
Sometimes they have two bands, sometimes one, sometimes none. Just like sometimes they get a white line of their back, but other times they don't, and it can vary in color as well.
