I bought my jag in march. he was a 1 inch little spec. its now almost September and hes around 7 inches. he is doing great I love his color pattern. he is here to stay in my 125. my question is for the people that have experience with this cichlid. at 1 inch per month ill assume he grew at a decent speed so im thinking down the line here how much longer will it take him to reach maybe like 13 inches? provided I continue raising him in really good conditions and feeding nls? 419570A5-4256-4515-AB3A-5A0C0FF1477B.jpegbaby jag......6 months laterjag4.JPGjag3.JPG

They grow relatively quick up to around 8-9 inches. It took my wild pair about a year and a half to grow to just under 12" from about 2".

Patience.... don't worry it'll get there, just keep it well fed & water quality pristine. ;)

Agreed with everyone else, most fish are like this they hit a certain size then growth slows down
