Either Start making Acrylic Tanks, easy to use with Canisters/Power filters, or start making Canisters and power filters compatible, i have so much filtration laying around, but i cant use it on My 240g Acrylic.

Soo how much longer do you all think we will have to wait until they are all compatible, if ever

you just can't use the stock return line.other than that, they should work fine.

i don't see the reason why you can't use your filter unless you have a custom built without any back holes for HOB and circular holes for your returns or heaters. need some more info here to help.

Well, my tank is a tenecor reef ready acrylic aquarium and the only openings on the tank are above the corner overflows and the 2'x1' lids that are set 6" in from the front and back of the aquarium, and 10" from the sides. So the tank is too closed up on the top to add filtration.
I will post some pics later. It is IMPOSSIBLE to have any sort of Power/HOB filter on this aquarium.

I know it sounds horrible, but one of the biggest up sides to acrylic tanks is that they can be drilled and cut very easily.

if you really want a HOB i would agree you can cut it. if you want to add a canister filter you can still do it with a little bit of challenge.

drill a hole in the top- put your intake tube through it.
Drill a hole again in the top- pop your return line in.

You could even grind the edge of your lids to make way for a canister. That way you don't drill your main tank and the lids could be replaced.

yes it would most positively void the warantee. better to ask the manufacturer to do it for you. they will ask for some good $$$ for them to do that. if you don't want to spend to much i would suggest you try to make some adjustment on the filter tubings. with regards to hob they will be a tough one. almost impossible.
