When would you guys upgrade?

I have 5x2x2 tank and within 6 months my fish are already looking a bit cramped. I was thinking of trying to hold out another 6 months before upgrading buy idk if it would be good for them. I really don't want to have to thin stock for lack of tank space. Looking to upgrade to 300 gallon

7x cichla ( 3x 6", 3× 4", 1× 3")
1x silver arowana 8 - 9"
3x tinfoil barbs 3.5"
2x silver dollars 3"

Go bigger than 300g if you dont want to thin your stock.

You think I would need bigger? I want an 8x3x2. If that's the case I may thin stock cause I don't wanna have to buy a custom build
