Ok dont bash me here snakehead lovers, for I use to own one too.

But anyways, this was a funny story that was told to me about not putting too many feeders in. Anyways a friend of my mom had a species of Arowana, and she always fed it feeders. Usually tilapia fry. Anyways one day she realises she has to leave town for a week, and goes to get a bunch of feeders, but the only feeders were availible. She brought a bag-full (which would have about 100 feeders in there), and dumped the whole thing into the arowana pond.

When she came back all she found were fat-bellied snakehead fry and a 3/4-eaten arowana.

The fry were channa straita by the way

ha! dont go skinny dipping in that pond!

Its a sin to use snakehead fry as feeders? Bro, you should come over to where I purchase my fish and you will see what is being sold as feeders. Some will definately break your heart. I once saw Giant Gourami fry and Wyckii fry being sold as feeders.

funny thing about snakeheads over here is that you can purchase an perfectly healthy farm-raised one at a live food market for like 40 baht per kilo (just chose a small one so its really cheap) or you can go to a fish store and purchase a fry for 30 baht. Just that the one at the food market was fed with a mixture of koi food pellets and ground fish (usually heads and of fileted tilapia), and the ones at the fish store was fed with feeders.
