Where are crocodilians legal and illegal?

Curious because some people say they are legal in Ny, but I always thought they werent. Are they legal in NY?
 
i dont think they are without a permit. a local store got busted for having one but i dont really remember the outcome of it. they got shut down temporarily but ended up getting the majority of their stock back and reopened

oh good you'd know, can you have a croc in ma with a permit or is it no all thogether??
 
hmm. its sais something about NYC but not the rest of the state.
 
i would go to your local library and check out your countys/citsys/towns local laws. here in wi some counties have the banned and others do not. in milwaukee county they are banned, but in ozaukee county just north of it they arent. so umm yeah check out your local laws and regs
 
wow, too scary of a pet for me.

Is anyone keeping these? I'd be interested to hear about the setup it requires. Guess I'll surf this section of the forum a little more.
