Are they out of season already? I've been wanting to add another, but I haven't seen any for sale recently. Anyone know of any vendors with them in stock?

The key source of imports has historically been VATF and GATF from the Congo. The Congo has been undergoing some severe political strife for the past six months or so and all exports have simply stopped. All of the fish coming in over the past half a year have been oddballs from Nigeria, Tanzania and Mozambique/Zambia. There is still a demand but the supply we have traditionally had isn't there anymore which explains the large number of tanzaniae, brevis and oddball vittatus coming in recently.
The fighting in the Congo stopped in the middle of January so hopefully we'll start seeing our normal supplies coming back in soon.

I had no idea, good to here that things have calmed down over there. I was wondering why there has been so many Tanzaniae and Brevis recently, thanks for the info.
There's always problems in the Congo. I remember a few years ago when I was looking for ATF's that was the same situation then too. If that country ever gets their act together they may be able to put together some type of economy exporting ATFs. LOL
they have been so common this year! Even Canada got its fair share. It's a shame you missed it. bet next year will be more.
I did manage to get a VATF a while ago, but he decided to ram himself into the tank while I was doing a water change and died, So I've been wanting to add another, he was really fun to keep.
