Where are your rays from???

I have a problem. I had ordered 2 rays from my fishdealer , but he told me that the border of South-America is closed for rays at the moment. It's only possible to get some motoros from Germany but thats it.. Where are the US rays coming from? -Maria-

I think your lfs dealer is just too lazy to order you some rays. The only country that has limits on stingray exports is Brazil. But, Brazil is still allowing exports. Other countries are still exporting in abundance (like Peru).

My guess is that he purchases his ray through a wholesaler.

This wholesaler only Imports rays out of Brazil. Likely because that is where majority of the fancy plecos come from, as well as the high-dollar rays.

The wholesaler told this to the local fish store, and the local fish store passed this information on to you.

If your local fish store can get in touch with someone who gets their fish supplied out of Peru, they should have no hard time getting you a ray.
