Where can I get the DLS filter material? (double layered spiral)

Does anyone know where I can get the DLS filter material used in the wet/dry pre filter? I can't find them in bulk. I want to make my own. I know TruVu and other filter companies sell them cut up to a certain size but I want to get large sheets for a custom filter. I can find companies the make and sell plastic mesh but nothing close to what that is used in the aquarium filters. Any leads to a supplier will be appreciated.

Not sure exactly what you're asking for, but have you checked out Matala media?

Wow not really been used since the late 8os so i cannot really help you why don t you consider matrix or bioballs they are self cleansing ,ehfisubstrat also would allow great bio filtration.

Sounds like Matala is what you're looking for. Large sheets of sort of a sponge material (but not foam) that come in different densities.

You can get the DLS black mesh filter material from Aquarium Life Support Systems part number AL2703. Comes in 3 foot wide by any length rolls. FAX orders in at 18002379611.
