I have seen this type of oscar fish in several pictures on the web. These pics aren't mine at all, they just depict the oscar I am looking for. Since I aquired a 40 gallon breeder and the growouts in my 145 are getting moved I figured I would grow out another oscar since I lost mine a few years ago. Anyway here is the oscar I'm looking for. Anyone know where I can get them or who sells them. If I can't find these I will just get a common red or a gold oscar.

ive looked into this before, im under the impression they are albino reds that are fed a natural vitamin/suppliment call astaxanthin, its a red dye, fed heavily from a young age, you can buy it from health stores... apparently it can turn our skin orange if taken often enough! there are reports of a guy from eastern europe doing this iirc.

i may be wrong and stand to be corrected tho, its in hikari gold as an ingredient...

My mate keeps discus and the food he feeds taints his water red so I suppose there's lots in that too. Dying the fish red after consumption a bit like what sunny delight did to loads of kids in the early 90s lol ;):D
