I'm looking for 25, 50, and 100 micron with the plastic ring, 7 x 16 size. I looked on Mcmaster-Carr, but it looked like the ones those sizes have a galvanized steel ring unless I missed it somewhere. Thanks.

i have ones that have the steel ring running for a couple months now. no problem... the steal right is wrapped with cloth too.

Mcmaster has more than one page, click the page numbers up top. They have tons of socks. I use the ones with the steel ring. No issues since they're not submerged.
Thanks for the replies. I was just concerned with the possibility of rusting from humidity. Also galvanizing is a kind of dangerous process to a persons health, so I didn't know if there was any worry of anything from the galvanizing process getting in the water. I know galvanizing is supposed to inhibit rust, but it can still happen. I suppose if I just examined the ring when I removed or installed it I would notice if there was a problem with rusting.
I just bought the ones with polypropylene rings, they seem good, but i have not started using them as i'm building the sump right now.
