i want to make a wet/dry or whatever it is , im gonna get a 55 gallon plastic tub and make chambers and drip plate and all but where can i get a pump to return the water?

don't confuse household sump pumps with continuous duty pumps.

Are you looking for pond specific pumps. The Quiet One line has aquarium and pond models. They are pretty much the same but the pond model will have a fountain attachment, prefilter, and possibly a remote control.
Most of the sites will list whether or not they are submersible.
It is quite a bit extra.
