Where do you guys/girls that have 1000 gallon tanks and such for your monsters get these tanks?..Do you make them yourself or who makes them for you?

alot of the DIY tanks are plywood tanks with a glass veiwing panel in the front.... nice option with a plywood tank is you can stick your overflows exactly where you want

my boss was looking into buying a 1000 gal tank for the office in the body shop where i work for a while. apparently what he found was that in the united states there isnt the proper sized break for glass that is thick enought for a all glass tank of that size. so if one were to buy an all glass tank the biggest you could buy in the states is 850. acrylic is another story of course. other countrys have the means to make glass tanks of gargantuan porportions though. but i cant even immagine the cost of getting something that size transported to the states

normally the largest all-glass tanks made are 500 gallons, but there are some cases where youll find them larger. i know a guy who has a 900 (10x4x3) gallon tank, and a LFS has a 700 (10x3x3) for $5000. normally tanks over 500 are DIY tanks though
