If you can see floor, there’s room for more
I felt that way once upon a time; you will eventually outgrow that quaint notion. Less is more; don't let fun degrade into drudgery. :)

I've got 3) 180's and 125 in my basement "den"
2) 75's and a triple stack of 40b in a small room off the "den"
my living room (2nd floor) has a 90gal, and a dbl 29gallon, theres a 65 that straddles the living room/kitchen
same floor, have a mini 40b reef in my office
thinking about using my garage for the rest of the tanks and 300gal stock tank

also converted my 20x10x4 pool to a koi pond

Couldn’t agree more!
I am always open to setting up another tank, but if I was going to do that I’ll need to rethink water changes (I envy those that can just turn a valve on and off to clean an entire fishroom).…
Excluding qts/feeder tanks I’ve got 6 scattered about the house. Each one has its own unique look and types of fish, so no reason to get bored, but not too much where it becomes a chore.

Welp, still basement for me...fishroom has 3 tanks 40 /40/ 225, office has two 20L, 30, 18 gal tub and rec room has 125. If something goes wrong (and it has) only one floor would get wrecked instead of two. And nothing is gonna crash through a concrete slab. If it does you've got a different problem, possibly a biblical one.

I bought the house I Iive in specifically because of how the garage was made which has very good plumbing and easy acces to drainage and water.. so the garage. Couldn't care less that the rest of if is rather small, I only leave the garage to eat and sleep 😁
