I don't really see them in the marketplace or vendor forum. I'm not talking about Florida or gator. More like the rarer like spotted, longnose, shortnose, Trop, Cuban

Spot rarely show up, but when they last really showed it was through solomon. Sng, last big influx was a few years ago from a member on here. He has since disappeared. Lng, the only distributer that had em went belly up.

Trops, a vendor got them in recently, cant remember off hand who, but they wanted ALOT. Cubans, solomon released a few, and someone else brought some in but dont remember who. Basically, GL with ur search. Those of us that own some of these kept our eyes own at the right time. My best advice is stick around, learn and contribute. This gets you a better chance at getting them, as those who get them tend to give first crack at members they know.

i got mine from local guys that had them(shortnose and longnose) i have been trying to work with the dnr about some things but they don't want to except any responsibility. they just dodge my questions, refure me to each other then when i talk to that person they say you should talk to this person again, give partial answers and then just not answer me. i think i have found a way to do some things, but we'll see.

my cubans were from another sorce, but i can't say were.

trops jeff rapps has in, pricy but he seems to be the only one.

Ok ya, cuz u rarely see a market for these. Just gotta keep my eyes peeled

I saw a vendor post about potentially bringing in 50-100 tropical gars if there's enough demand as they're already bringing in some color morph tropical gars.

I might be able to get longnose gars this year if they have a good breeding season & if I manage to find them again like I did a few years ago. Other than that, I'm just waiting for the gars in my pond (longnose gars & alligator gars at the moment) to hit breeding age in a few years, and I'm hoping that they'll produce some nice offspring for me.

Those spotted actually look different than my Florida. Might actually be spotted!

you may be able to catch one depending on location and state laws.
