Chicagoland
Where in Chicagoland, the Baseball capital of the world (GO CUBS!!!), can i buy sharks. Tropiquatics, where I used to get them, no longer carries them.

So I think its safe to consider you do not have the system purchased yet? If I am wrong correct me. I think your best option is to worry about planning the system out and then looking for the Shark. I would not put a elasmobranch into a system that has been cycling for anything less than 5 months. This gives you time to ensure you have the ideal set up, and to think about what type of specimen you want to keep. However depending on the dimensions you may not even be able to keep a Shark, if you can however you will be restricted to the Coral / Marbeled Cat Sharks most likely.

find out first. filtration, dimensions... all system specs should be taken into consideration when choosing your stock.

no. I have the tank and all, I just am not POSSITIVE of the volume.

if the tank is a commong rectangle, then l*w*h / 231 will give you the rough gallons. depending on thickness of glass, you shouldnt be to far off, not enough to make any difference in being able to keep a shark or not anyways.

if its a pool style tank/pond then refer back to your basic math books for volume of a cylinder.

Aquatic Environments Mokena, Ilinois

there are also websites for finding out exact vollume in a tank you just type in height length and width
