Have heard they are great and more mellow than a jardini! Would really like to get one if I can find one!?

Yes they are not as aggresive as there cousins, but they do have a down side too, they are very skittish(bashing into the tanks sides b/c of the slightest movement from their surrondings) and they injure very, very easily. What usually follows is an infection if the water quality is less than very good.

As for where to get them I have no idea, sorry.

Ashdavid is right in saying that they are very skittish. Mine has jumped out twice and if it wasnt for the wooden lids I made it would have been more than that.

However my guy has healed quite well both times and didnt injure himself too badly considering both times he fell from a 6ft drop.

The times that my guy has jumped wasnt because of movement, it was late at night whilst the lights were off and no one was around. I think its because of the tank size. I am upgrading him to a 600gallon tank some time before christmas.

I would have to disagree, at least with my leicharti. He is less skittish than my jardini, but i hear the bigger they get, the less jumpy they become.

As far as finding one, keep an eye out on the predator forums as they become available from time to time. Also check aquabid but beware there are ppl trying to sell jardinis as leichartis.

Good Luck, they are great fish.

Steve your water quality is obviously very good, and by all of your other post I know this to be true. They do injure much more easily than other arows IME. And a bigger tank will help with the skittishness too.
