My bichir ran away :(. I cant find him at all. His other 3 tankmates are still there but i dont see the lil fella anywhere.... his tankmates are 1 bichir same type and size and 2 royal plecos. There are no spots for him to get out and no possible way he got eaten.

Do they hide under gravel? where could he be?

Never mind... I found him behond my computer desk all hard and dried up with dust on him!!!

i put him in water i will wait and see whathappens....

R.I.P LIL BICHIR!

oh man sorry bout that..... he was still trying to breathe!? if he was still at least trying he will probably live but might have some brain damage from lack of oxygen.. sorry man

OK so this is what you do.... put the fish in a hospital tank do not put him back with the other fish, second treat him with a MASSIVE amount of melafix and or any medication to grow the slime coat back the problem you are having now it that he is dried and has no slime coat he is in MAJOR danger of having a fungus or backeria infection (that is why you can't put him with the others please keep me informed on this i am a hatchery manager of a 6000 gallon angel and plecko farm as well as a major fish wholesaler of the northeast so I know what is going on:headbang2

I dont know how long he was out but he fell 4ft and hes only 4" he was so dried out i put him in a lil bowl with an air bubler, i put some slimecoat stuff (forget what its called) along with some salt. and 1 hour later hes still dried and nasty.. R.i.P

damn that sucks. i just had one of my biggest gachua's take a suicide leap. was still alive when i found him several hours later. Put him back in the tank in area with a high flow rate. But he didn't make it. Sorry for your loss
