Ok this will sound kinda lame but I dont know whats going on. lately I have noticed that I m not the same with my lil babies( my cichlids and other fishes) and I dont know why. I walked to look at my 55 gallon today, and there they were, staring at me very sadly cause I dont spend time with them like I used to. I hate to say this, but some times I only feed them once a day or forget too. I tried changing things last week. I cleaned the tanks and all that gud stuff but I could swear something is missing. All the plants from my 29 gallong tank are almost dead or about to be. I try to put fertilizer and take gud care of that tank but the plants are dieing on me. I also noticed that I dont longer spend money buying fishes or gud diversity snacks for them( feeders and crickets and all that).
and to make things worse, my Oscars dont wanna do tricks no more. Like I said this may sound kinda lame but I NEED TO FIND OUT WHATS HAPPENING!
I think is because I m growing tier of seen the same kinda cichlids on my tank, that I need other types of monsterfishes but again I DONT KNOW.
Any suggestions?

Getting new fish helps if you have room. You can't give up on your fish because you are tired of them.

lol i was feeling guilty the other day too since i started working doubles im a cook at beach front restaurant ( :swear: the "season") but im happy w/ fish i have and my 29 was a ***** to get stable as well like you said maybe you just havnt found "your fish" yet just take time and think bout it

I don't know man, it could be depression. But don't give up on your tanks man. Keep the faith.

sometimes I get in moods like that. trading fish for new ones can sometimes help as can reaquascaping a tank. :)

don't have kids  :j/k:

don't worry, your fish love will come back, it does come and go sometimes

Could just be the winter blues.....try some new plants change the background...little things help

i find that if i don't keep my fish in a room where i spend a lot of time i get bored with them so i like to keep them in the tv room so i can watch tv and fish at the same time. now this is going to sound crazy but sometimes yoou can have to many tanks i cut back from 10 to 2 over the years

i did the same as red oscar and i dont keep monsters any more just monster babies in my big tank made a deal to trade them in when they get to a nice size so now when i buy adonis plecs i buy 6 raise em good take em in get something new and different

Dont feel too bad,i get bored all the time with my fish, but then i remember why i bought these fish, and that its my resonsibility for thier upkeeping.I often trade my fish in that helps some times. My biggest problem is waiting for fish to grow(full grown fish are too expensive!!!)I have given this hobby up 2-3 times in the last 30 yrs,but i always come back...so what does that tell ya!!! :clap
