Where is the website from Frank gone?

where is the website freshwaterstingray.nl gone. Pretty sure it was a guy named Frank. He built a crazy size tank out of 3 shipping containers welded together in Holland. He also had a white/albino Leo. I searched for an hour trying to find the website and it has vanished?
 
I don't mean to pry, but any idea why? That entire operation was such an inspiration.

Recession I would have thought Jim.

These guys were doing ok financially without having to set up one of the largest freshwater Stingray facilities in the world to provide an income. I believe they did it for the love of it mainly, but at the same time good business men don't throw good money into something that's struggling, it must have become a very expensive hobby. You never know they might start again in the future as times improve.
I never visited their facility though, I was invited personally when Nicco visited my house a few years back, I regret never seeing it really, it looked a magnificent sight from the pics.

I could be wrong but I can't think of any other reason why they would close it.

A huge loss to the hobby!!

Good luck to them both, they provided us with lots of entertainment whilst they were on this forum.

The price of rays crashed and not enough return for the investment

I was told they drained it put a lid on it and turned it into a high end parrot breeding farm

I have also been told they still have a section running out back which they are still trying to breed white rays

I haven't talked to frank sand nico for sometime now but it's Xmas soon and I always show my respects this time of year

Interesting. Its a shame the site has dissapeared as it had some good refference material. Hope they have luck with the white Leos.
