I recently got my certification as a Sign Language Interpreter, and it's a job that's fairly well in-demand, especially since not a lot of males do it. It should be easy to find a job at a school district anywhere in the country.

Where should I move?

I grew up in Michigan and my first year I spent in Rogers, Arkansas. I'm almost done here and will be heading back home to live with my parents for the summer then embark on my next adventure.

I'm guessing SoCal would be the best place for MFK purposes cuz I see that a lot.

Calif school districts are all in financial crisis. lots of Special Ed staff have lost jobs.

Youre going to need to tell us more like what specifically are you looking for?

Climate? Housing? Quality of local schools for your kids if/when you have them? Taxes? Ease of commute, etc?

Like the posters above me said, I wouldnt head to California, just heard a segment on NPR earlier today talking about the financial crisis in California.

Id move to a state that is doing quite well because you will most likely be employed by the state.

True. Well I'm looking for a big city. I'm young and don't have kids and like to smoke a lot of weed and hang out on a front porch somewhere. Somewhere with good music. I think I'm developing arthritis in my hands/wrists because I've been interpreting 8 hours a day and now I can predict when it's gonna rain.. haha. I'm thinking Denver because of the climate and they have a high demand for interpreters but also Chicago might be cool cuz it'd be close to my family but I heard it's expensive to live there.

Besides that, I hear cali has a lot of fish bans...come to sunny (and rainy) WI, where we have no fish bans (lol, I'm sure they're out there, but we'll leave that out of the pitch :))

Because of the self-diagnosed arthritis i should probably stay away from wet climates like Seattle or New England.

Chicago the city is really expensive but you could live in a suburb and be alright it's not that expensive. But any city will be expensive if you live in apartments in the city that will not be cheap a nice condo in Chicago can run you upwards around 500,000$.

Holy cow! That's ridiculous! Right now, up the road from my parent's house, there's a 12-ish acre farm complete with house, barn, and I think a silo for just shy of 200,000. My BF and I have our eye on it. We're waiting for the price to drop a little further...But yeah. Farm. Cows. Fish. Dogs. What more could you ask for?

Lol smoke bud my friend? Oregon is the best area look at our marijuana laws aren't really strict and fish are almost all legal here I stay here and I find it peacful and relaxing also! Quite peacful and evey one u meet really 420 friendly:D
