I'm looking into getting a new fish soon. I have a WTB thread. and I'm leaning to the armatus more and more but I don't want to get a juvi. I want a larger one that will go directly into my big tank so 10" at the smallest. So where do you get one? I have done some searches for these guys and I allways seem to come back here. That's great and all but you still very seldomly see them up for grabs let alone the size I want. and mostly no shipping on them. So do we have a vendor who can get them large? I'm thinking of getting ahold of massive aggresion but still want to at least have some options. the bigger the better. And I have cash in hand.

SO help me out guys where do you get big armatus?

Plan on spending a grand or over with a WC. I HIGHLY doubt anyt vendor would even attempt it though. They ship VERY VERY poorly. I don't know if you could even talk Rich into shipping one the size you're talking about.

Good luck.

They don't do too well with other tankmates either. You'll run into aggresion issues. MANY people have tried to keep them in a community and failed.

And I'm not even going to start on the tank size debate.

Save yourself the trouble, money, and headache and wait till July like the rest of us for some lil guys to grow out.

I would settle for a smaller one but I need it to accept market shirmp or fish. I don't want to have to break it of feeders. I know I'm asking alot but I got a little list of what I'm looking for. And soe other things I know I can get now. I just need to pic up one more fish before my son is born b/c after that what's in my growout and what's im the big tank is about all that I'm going to have for a long time. So I want something good. An armatus is a sweet fish. but not something I have to have.

I replied to your post in the Ohio.KY/Indiana thread.

PM if you are interested. He is 9-10" but give him a couple weeks and I can gauruntee you he will be 10" lol

Mine has had two similiar sized tankmates for months now with no real problems.

Well there you go.......

I'm wrong again.

For now......LOL

You should get JD's. He has been broken of feeders and is a good size. They are a harder fish to break off of live foods and they are a sensitive fish when really small. -----------But i second the 500 plus range for a 10'' plus specimen.
