Where to buy my fish!!

Alright, well i have one green terror and am looking to find a mate, of high quality, and i was wondering, do you think that my LFS would have better looking terrors than a..petsmart, petco, "chain" store like that?? The price difference is $10 the ones at my LFS are $18. I think im going to go with that but i wanted to see if you guys thought it would be worth the extra. Also they are sold at 2" from my LFS

i bought one Gt from petsmart and 3 from that pet place in lancaster pa. all the same size and bought on the same weekend. theyre growth rates are about the same thus far,but def can tell a difference in colors. the petsmart gt is darker and duller than the 3 from that pet place. i will try to post some pics for ya!

oh, i just stopped into petco the other day and saw they had some nice looking gt's. in my area, the petco has better looking fish and usually seem healthier. but i tend to stay away from those chain stores due to the fish being low quality

yeahh..the one i have i got at petsmart and it was really dark with pretty green on it in the store and now its somewhat plain. but. its a girl so thats why im askin i want the best looking male possible. ill post a pic of her when i get home im on my work computer haha

Are they all the same sex? The dull one might be female.

The best thing to do is shop around and pick the one you think looks best. GTs are fairly common and so you should have plenty of selections to choose from.

exactly, just shop around and choose the best looking fish, i think the place you get it is insignificant.
