You can buy used glass for $1 per gallon, and that normally includes the stand too!
I've gotten almost all of my tanks from craigslist. I've had to reseal a few, but it's worth the extra effort to save the money!

- Acrylic tanks can be bought direct from manufacturers and sometimes you can even place an order through their website. For example, www.glasscages.com.

Check the bulletin board at your local LFS. I just picked up a 90 and a 40 breeder with stands lights and a ton of extras all for $100.00
