I'm looking hard into buying a northern pike, tiger musky, or a musky. I have looked everywhere and am willing to do w.e it takes to buy one. ( The closer to MA the better)

And no, I really can't fish for one at the moment

Any help would be much apreciated

Your best bet there is to find a local/semi-local hatchery and work with them to acquire these fish. The other route would be to find someone who has purchased these fish in large quantity to stock a pond and have them sell you one.. other than that, I've never seen an aquarium vendor who offers these fish, just the smaller variants. My reasoning for that is due to the massive size of these fish and equally massive tank and care it would require to keep one in captivity.

I saw redfin pickerel on aquabid. They are a nice alternative since they only get 16" and are still a member of the pike family.

The alternative is a much better solution, E. Americanus and E. Vermiculatus are awesome fish that can be kept within reason. If you want one of those, I would suggest Paul Sachs at aquaculturestore.com. I spoke to him about a week ago and he has a few pickerel in stock.

hmph... i supposed your right

I went to my local fish store last week to pick up some feeders and a baby white sturgeon that I had been eye-balling. Noticed that they got a nice shipment of natives. Walleye, crappie, perch, northern pike and 6 tiger muskies. Way too cool to pass up. Near Cleveland if you feel like a road trip. It is called RMS Aquaculture.Tiger Musky.JPG

Esox are illegal in California due to the invasive Northern Pike invaded in California.
