www.tedsfishroom.com sells great pieces they have show pieces but they sell out fast. I bought a piece from them a while back and it was perfect. The piece I purchased from them is on the left side and for size reference its a 240 gallon 8ft wide so that piece I think was about 23" wide ~Trent
Aquarium driftwood can be pricey... especially for large 'showpieces'. But it all depends what you really want to display? Teds prices are actually pretty reasonable, if you ask me. There are some places that will even charge by the pound.
Anyways, GL with your search, Jester. You get what you pay for, that's what i always say.
that is easy to remedy. there are several ways to do it...but my fish seems to like the brown tint, but then again i dont use bright lights to my tanks...
The manzanita wood doesn't tint the water brown I believe. The malaysian wood and native wood both tint the water brown the native wood not as much from what I've seen. However the malaysian wood, like Tedsfishroom and other lfs sell doesn't have to become waterlogged which is really nice, its dense enough to sink regardless. It is a bit pricy for show piece driftwood but as its been said, you get what you pay for. The brown tint will come out over a few days with the carbon in your filter if you're really worried about it use alot more carbon, however the tannins in the driftwood are really good for your fish and plants and personally I think you'd be better off keeping the tint in the water, it grows on you after a while Another site is floridadriftwoods.com ~Trent
