i have dwarf puffer fish. i feed them a mix of frozen/freeze dried bloodworms. and occasional live blackworms.

however i want to try giving them some snails to vary their diet. would the snails sold on biological supply companies (carolina.com) be safe to feed them? i feel they would be safer to feed my fish rather then buying on aquabid/ or asking for some in the dirty tanks of petco.

petco/petsmart/whatever is fine for snails, fish, feeders and everything else... IF you quarantine...

empty water jugs (gallon) or prettymuch whatever else you have that will hold water will make a good Qtank for snails..

petco almost always has a plant tank thats on a seperate filtration system from the rest of the tank.. from time to time i pick up snails/plants from this tank just to keep my snaiis genepool diluted..

Captive bred snails do not harbor too much issues that would affect your fish as well although quarantining does not hurt anything.
