Where to buy "Turbo Start" in NYC

Do any of those products come refrigerated? If not, they are probably just dead bacteria or the wrong kind of bacteria. You are much better off with Bio-Spira.

Bio-Spira is discontinued and Tetra bought off Marineland.

Tetra took off the shelfs the refrigerated Bio Spira. Now there are a few alteratives to bacteria start up.

1) Tetra Safestart (The "new" Bio spira unrefrigerated for freshwater"
2) Fritz Turbo Start
3) Dr. Tims One and Only Nitrifying Bacteria
4) Marineland Unrefrigerated Bio-Spira for Saltwater


I put in my tank yesterday Tetra Safestart and I noticed a significant difference the next morning. My ammonia and nitrite dropped a little and the nitrate rose a bit.

Im not saying its the greatest thing in the world....But Im still observing the outcomes of the progress as time goes by.

I'll keep everyone posted.
 
Darn, now I have to adjust to all these changes in Bio-Spira. Dr Tim is the guy who inevented it.
