I seen alot of guys use black vinyl backgrounds and they look nice. Where do I find it and how do I apply it?

I know a kid that uses Auto tint :) looks good and is simple to apply .. Don't know about price.. could be allot more :(

Seems to me that vinyl will be shiny to some degree. In the past I have used black felt. Absolutely zero shine or reflection. The tank was as pitch black as I could get it. It is cheap and at every walmart.

How did you attach the felt to the back of the tank?

I just spraypainted mine black

Yup easier and a nicer finish IMO, while your at it do the bottom too ;)

I got some from 3m You apply it just like putting any sticker on...

Soak the hell out of the sheet, its better to have a spray bottle, clean the glass realllllllly welllllll and slowly peel back the paper side and stick it to your tank, just take it slow, make sure it is always soaking! you need alot of towels! and a ruler! or squeegie!

g'luck!

Chalkboard paint available from wallyworld, homeless depot. lowes't, or paint stores.

Use a roller, maybe two coats...But you don't have to empty the tank or move out side.

Clean glass very well.
