I was saddened that I was unable to fit another aquarium into my home so I decided to build another L shaped aquarium that could squeeze into the corner. Since just glass is such a pain and so expensive i've decided to make a plywood and glass aquarium. This one will be 5' long on one side and 3' on the other 1' tall and 1' wide (about 50 gallons). I was looking at some 3/4 inch thick oak plywood sheets and all I can find is 4x8 sheets for $50 each. Since I will need around 10 sq feet for the tank plus a lot of the 1/2 inch cheaper plywood for the outside of the stand and drawers (gotta use the space wisely) I'm going to need to find quite a bit of plywood for a cheap price. Would glass be better in the long run? If not where would I find cheap plywood?
Thanks in advance
