where to find jardinis.

i got two silvers from my friend but i have no idea where to get another arowana.prefferably a jardini or asian

^^ i agree...you can get a Jardini Arowana here in US as for NY but no Asian Arowana...their Illegal here plus their endangered as of right now. =[ but the Jardini and Leichardti Arowana is the closest to getting a Asian Arowana you can get thats legal...=/ hope they come up soon later on in a couple of years

i hear jar's are easier to find during winter just because that's when they spawn. but you can find during other seasons, just better selection during winter.

For some reason my LFSs seem to only get jars right around spring time. I just ended up getting my latest one from Fish Room Plus. I'd def recommend them if you can't find any locally.

You wont be able to keep a Jar with any other fish anyway, they are known to be more aggressive and should be kept alone. If your LFS cant order them, check out our vendors.

But even if they have the title of being the most aggressive arowana of all you may end up getting one docile enough to be with other fishes...but ive heard over and over again from lots of people that they have a better chance with keeping a Jardini with others by keeping more robust fishes....like cichlids and other oddball. But you would need a bigger tank to keep all the fishes together for life.
