where to find oddballs

hey! i'm new to this site and just wondering where i could find some oddball fish here in the Philippines.. maybe some fire eels or tiretracks? or a.falcatus or scombs.. really want to own one of those.. thanks in advance!

Cartimar! By Manila! There are about 300+ stalls/shops selling fish and that is an understatement!!! Plan on 2-3 hours to see everything if you walk fast!!! I saw Bichirs and some oddballs when I was there in Jan '08!

hey thanks for the reply man! yeah i know the place, i go there a lot actually.. yeah it's a great place to find fish.. thing is, i can't seem to find those oddballs i'm looking for.. maybe it's my timing i dunno.. once, i spent like half a day there searching every store for something like a redtail barracuda or some sort, just can't find any... i'm thinkin of just ordering online, gonna be a bit pricey though

Or.......sorry to say....... Singapore! A lot of fish are sold and bread there!

I'm going back to the Philippines in June or July for 3-4 months. I'll be traveling around a bit and will let you know if I find anything/anyplace local to you that has any cool stuff.
