Had 2 quick Q's. Hope I posted this in the right spot.

1. Where is a good place to get Bio media? I have a fluvav (sp?) 404 and a Rena xP3 and I want to put some ceramic bio media in some of the baskets. So I need some not too large to where it wont fit and a decent amount. Any ideas?

2. I plan on having a few live plants in my tank that don't need much light but I'd like to put a few fertilizer tabs in the sand for the plants. What would be the best tabs to use and where to get them?

Thanks everyone

if u cant get bio media locally, then ur only option is to buy it online. i would do a search and see whats available to u. some members near u may be able to give u an exact location where u can buy it. however, if i were u i would just shop around for it, u do know of local fish stores right?

as for the root tabs, i know Seachem makes some good ones called, Flourish tabs. like i said before with the media, u need to do a search and see whats available to u. most likely u will need to order online and have it shipped to u, if u cannot find it locally.

Ok thanks. I checked a local pet store but they sold it in small amounts and way over priced... where do you get those plant tabs at?

BioMedia can be found on ebay for reasonable prices. I just picked up 6 liters of Substrat Pro, NIB, for $80, which would retail for ~ $180 if bought in 1 liter quantities.

Obviously cheaper alternatives can be found as well.

Search Sera Siporax...

i recommend using Quartz bio-rings ( ceramic bio-rings but made of quartz and gives about 10 times the amount of BB). U can find Quartz bio-rings on Ebay, just search "BioQuartz Noodle"
