My recent obsession with these guys has be craving a new tank. I'm just curious where you guys are getting those super high quality FH in the tristate area? Anyone have a list of reputable 'breeders' and the like?

99% of the high quality FHs aren't from US. They are from over seas. Now 1% on the other hand are from those who bought their quality FHs over seas and bred them. (Not that many people here in US yet)

Most likely, you will not be able to find anything good at your LFS. I would suggest try going to: www.flowerhornrus.com / www.flowerhorns.org / www.flowerhornusa.com in their market place. Some people are selling their high quality imported FHs so they can get a new/better one :D
They also have a group buy once in a while on high quality imported FHs as well.

Hope this helps,
JP

Thanks for the info JP. I'll keep my eyes peeled on those sites. Where did you get that FH you had fs yesterday? I loved that fish.

Ely's fish has one. Not big in to FH. so i dont really know if it was good quality or not.

I live in NJ, and the best place to get a flowerhorn is Shark Aquarium in Hillside. If your in Totowa just take 22 east you will see it on the left. They have the best.

I go to SA all the time. Their fish are pretty good, but not all that great in terms of FH.

I'm debating going to that FH shop in the city, but they are soooooo rediculously expensive.

I figured that was the case. If you happen to notice a group buy that slips under my radar, shoot me a PM and bring it to my attention. I'd appreciate it.
