I'm not sure if I'm in the right part of the forum to post this. I just really wanna get pool filter sand and this black diamond sandblasting sand. I'm located in Los Angeles 90020 area. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pool filter sand is available at a pool supply like Leslie's or some such...
Blasting sand is available at yard and building supply places...not Home Depot, Lowes etc. Like a construction supply yard.

I've had much better luck finding blasting sand at farm supply stores such as Farm and Fleet and Theisens, but for PFS I haven't seen it at a box store like lowes or HD, I've always found it at local pool supply stores.
From what I read, blasting sand are too sharp for a lot of fish. Pool filter sand is great, it just does not come in different colors

I went into this pool supply store earlier and they told me I have to be a member or something like that. Is there a store that I can go in, get the stuff I need, and walk out?
Never used or seen quikrete so I can't compare...this is a shot of it in tank. As with all sands it should be rinsed. I skipped the step myself and used fine mesh filtering on my filter...water cleared in 2 days and I had to rinse out the filter afterwards.

I guess I'll give it a try. How about the black diamond sand? Idk what to search for in google should I type farm supplies? I tried typing that and it showed feeds for farm animals. I'm not really good at researching for this stuff so do you think you can help me?
