O.k. hope I'm in the right place, normally i just lurk in the shadows of the site & don't know much bout posting but here goes
Thinking of switching out the med size river pebble substrate in my 125gal for something smaller. Was seriously thinking of black sand but not sure I want to deal with the threat of getting sand in my canisters. I know there's smaller than normal gravel, like halfway between sand and gravel but don't know what it's called or where to find it. Has anyone used it or know of it? I've had regular size gravel and the med river pebbles but would like something smaller that doesn't allow quite as much food and waste to get trapped. And like I said, not sure I even want to think about dealing with chewing up my canister filters with sand particles the first time my Red hooks, Pleco or Oscar decide to get a little insane. So any suggestions for SMALL gravel? Goods or bad's? Thanks
