Can anyone name a couple business catagories that might do this? I want to drill my 30 gallon and 55 gallon on the side to create an overflow that I dont need to have the sump be below the tank for. That and the bottom is tempered.

I also dont want a siphon overflow.

Thanks for the help,

Eric

Call around local glass shops. You can buy a bit online for about $40 and do it yourself.I did mine with a cordless drill with my son pouring water on it while I drilled.Made a little ring out of playdoh to keep water on the bit.Gently clamp a piece of plywood inside the tank to reduce breakout.

you need a dremel, a diamond tipped bit ( $5 at walmart for 2) a small sumersible pump or power head with a short hose attached... fill the bath tub and put the pump in it... i used a milk crate to put the glass on in the tub. just keep the water running on it and slowly drill away. practice on some thing first. it is actually very easy

i wouldn't clamp anything to glass
